transitions
When I left for India just over a month ago, it was early Spring in Maine (ice-out on the ponds here is typically mid-April). I dropped straight into a cauldron of triple-digit temperatures, dangerous pathogens, and a sea of humanity in a culture about as far removed from as one can get from the taciturn New England reserve I was coming from. ‘Vibrancy’ would serve well to describe a unifying theme around the entire trip and the return to a Maine now in full bloom (and a yard of chest-high grasses and weeds).
In keeping with the theme of transitions, it was great to attend my nephew Robert’s graduation from Freeport HS as he gets ready for some summer fun before heading off to higher studies (engineering, at least for now) in the fall. Meanwhile, we’ll be moving GSE forward and looking for additional opportunities to serve the community. It’s good to be home.
